We’ll teach you everything about archery, but let’s be real - this isn’t all bullseyes and glory. There’s cleaning, resetting the range, and the occasional “fun” (not fun) task on the list too.

 

At my old job, I used to smile and nod through endless chats about the weather. Here, the awkward conversations are more like, ‘Wait, I have to aim with my eyes?’ Still awkward, but at least it makes for better stories at the end of the day.

 

Cleaning toilets isn’t exactly a highlight, but hey, it keeps you humble. Plus, it makes serving people feel like a treat.  

 

It’s weirdly satisfying watching someone who’s never held a bow before hit a bullseye after you’ve trained them. Almost makes you forget about the weeding. Almost.

 

I thought this would be like every other casual job - but nope. One minute I’m teaching someone how to shoot a bullseye, and the next, I’m restocking chips or mowing a lawn. It’s weirdly satisfying doing so many different things in one shift. Plus, archery tag? Way more fun than folding T-shirts at a store.

 

Yeah, there’s cleaning - there’s always cleaning. But it’s a lot easier to clean a park toilet or mow the lawn when your next task is teaching someone to hit a target. It’s the mix that keeps things interesting - not to mention working with a team that knows how to have a laugh.

What You’ll Get:

  • A sense of humour - Let’s face it, we’re here to work hard and have a laugh doing it.
  • Willingness to try new things - You might be a target doctor one minute and a garden ninja the next.

This role is open to anyone aged 15 and over, and you’ll be covered under the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award 2020.
