Why People Choose Primal Archery
For many of our visitors, this is their very first time holding a bow. That’s why we’ve designed every session to be relaxed, welcoming, and easy to follow.
Whether you’re visiting Busselton on holiday, looking for a fun family activity, planning a date, or simply trying something new, we’ll guide you through everything you need to know before you head onto the range.
There’s no pressure to be good at archery. Our goal is simple: help you enjoy yourself, learn something new, and maybe even surprise yourself with a few great shots.

Designed to Be Welcoming, Not Intimidating
Primal Archery was created to remove the barriers that stop people from trying archery. We wanted a place where curiosity is encouraged, mistakes are part of the process, and confidence builds naturally with every arrow.
A Park Shaped by Many Hands
Established in 1988 by the Blake family, the park has been carried forward by a small number of dedicated owners over the decades.
It was later stewarded by the Fedys family, and then by the Sheridan family, who oversaw the park for more than two decades.
In 2018, Luke and Cassie Thomas took on the responsibility of continuing that legacy, reimagining the experience and relaunching the space as Primal Archery in 2020.

Built by People Who Love Archery
Luke and Cassie first came to this park in 2008 and fell in love with the sport here. Today, they pour everything into the place, sharing tips, refining technique, and helping guests improve at their own pace.
They live, breathe and sleep archery.
While competitive goals and trophies sit on the horizon, the commitment to good coaching is already here.
Archery Equipment & Advice in Busselton
In addition to our sessions, the park includes an onsite archery shop where visitors can purchase equipment, arrows, and accessories.
Whether you’re new to the sport or upgrading your gear, we’re always happy to offer guidance and advice in person.

Our Approach

Teach From the Ground Up
Everyone starts somewhere. We introduce outdoor archery one step at a time, breaking the basics into simple, easy-to-follow lessons so beginners can build confidence, enjoy the experience, and improve at their own pace.

You vs You
Archery isn’t about competing with the person beside you. It’s about enjoying the process, celebrating your own progress, and discovering what you’re capable of with patient guidance and encouragement every step of the way.

Constantly Evolving
We’re always refining our coaching, facilities, and outdoor archery experience in Busselton. By learning from our visitors and staying connected with the sport, we continue to create a welcoming place for beginners and experienced archers alike.
